Criticism of Not Counting Dependents of Legal Immigrants Is Unfounded

Not only is the legal immigration system broken, they are also so old that they are open to several interpretations by administrations and lawmakers. These interpretations have affected and continue to affect lives of immigrants and their families. One of the biggest effects or misinterpretations being that dependent spouses and children today are accounted for within the capped employment-based immigration numbers, when the correct interpretation states that they should qualify for green cards without being counted within the employment-based numbers.
